Robles, Terrell To Compete At FGCU Invite

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The fall season continues for Arkansas men’s tennis, as Austin Robles and Branch Terrell will compete at the FGCU Fall Invite this weekend, with play beginning Friday. The duo will play both singles and doubles matches each day of the three-day tournament.

“We are excited to play the FGCU event again this year,” head coach Andy Jackson said. “It will be a great opportunity for Austin and Branch to compete and gain confidence.”

Robles owns a 2-8 record in singles and 7-3 record in doubles this fall. He has a 6-2 record playing with Johan den Toom, including a 3-1 record and a semifinal appearance in Division II doubles at the Southern Intercollegiate earlier this fall.

Terrell enters the weekend with a 3-4 record in singles and 1-2 record in doubles. He won his Round of 128 singles match and Round of 64 doubles match, playing with den Toom, at the ITA Central Regional Championship this past weekend. Robles and Terrell have not played doubles together this fall.

Arkansas, represented by Robles and Terrell, will join a trio of schools from the Sunshine State at the FGCU Tennis Complex in Fort Myers, Florida. The Razorbacks will face host Florida Gulf Coast on Friday at 1 p.m., Division II member Barry University on Saturday at 9 a.m., before concluding play against Florida Atlantic on Sunday at 9 a.m.

Saturday Schedule:

  • Arkansas vs. Barry (singles/doubles) at 9 a.m.

Sunday Schedule:

  • Arkansas vs. Florida Atlantic (singles/doubles) at 9 a.m.
