Rookie Minicamp Roundup

FAYETTEVILLE – Eight former Razorbacks, including four draft picks,participated in rookie minicamps with seven different NFL teams last weekend.

Defensive end Chris Smith was the next Razorback off the board, as he was taken in the fifth round by Jacksonville after the Jaguars coaching staff led the South team at the Senior Bowl.Forhighlights and an interview with Smith by the Jaguars, click here.

Fullback Kiero Small joined the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks after he was drafted in the seventh round. Head coach Pete Carroll described Small as "a legit fullback" and sees a spot for Small on special teams as well. Watch Small’s first press conferencein Seattlehere.

Kicker Zach Hocker was the first kicker drafted when the Washington Redskins made him their seventh-round selection. Hocker, who is expected to compete for kicking and kickoff duties, joined Larry Michael from the Redskins Broadcast Network in a video that can be seen here.

In addition to the drafted Razorbacks, three undrafted free agents signed with teams and went through rookie minicamp last weekend. Defensive tackle Robert Thomas joined Hocker in Washington, offensive tackle David Hurd signed with Miami and wide receiver Javontee Herndon signed with San Diego. Wide receiver Julian Horton was invited to tryout with the Tennessee Titans and was signed by the franchise following his performance last weekend.
