FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas baseball team will conclude offseason workouts with its annual inter-squad Fall World Series beginning Oct. 16 at Baum Stadium. Game one of the best-of-five series is scheduled for a 3 p.m. first pitch. The first three games will be played Oct. 16-18 and, if necessary, games four and five are set for Oct. 21 & 22.
Three team captains were selected to lead each squad. The captains were then responsible for selecting the players for their respective teams. The Cardinal team will be captained by senior Mike Bolsinger and sophomores Zack Cox and James McCann, while the Black team will be led by senior T.J. Forrest and juniors Brett Eibner and Andy Wilkins.
The Cardinal team carries 11 position players with seven on its pitching staff. Cox and freshman Derrick Bleeker are also listed as pitchers and could offer some relief. The Black team features nine position players and 10 pitchers.
Games two and three are slotted for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. start times, respectively. The two if-needed games have not been finalized for a start time. Last season, the Cardinal team rallied after losing the first two games to win the series, 4-2. For more information, log on to ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
