Season-High Efficiency in Win vs. UMKC

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Seniors Danielle Harbin and Ana Sofia Jusino each recorded double-digit kills Saturday afternoon as the University of Arkansas volleyball team capped its weekend with a four-set win over UMKC at Barnhill Arena. Harbin finished the match with a career-high 25 kills while Jusino added 10 kills to go along with a match-high seven total blocks. Collectively, the Razorbacks tallied a season-high .308 hitting percentage in the victory.

On her way to earning her third all-tournament selection, Harbin averaged 5.00 kills per set behind a .291 hitting percentage. She recorded double-digit kills in all three matches during the Arkansas Invitational. Harbin’s 25 kills against UMKC bested her previous best of 22 established earlier this season against No. 4 Kansas. After committing five attack errors in the first set against UMKC, Harbin posted a .395 hitting percentage with just two errors over the final three sets.

Jusino capped a strong defensive weekend with her best offensive outing of the season, attacking for a .500 hitting mark. Patrolling the net, she averaged 1.55 blocks per set during the Arkansas Invitational. Collectively, the Razorbacks finished the match with 14.0 total team blocks. Jusino, Barbara Dapic, Breana Jones and Rachel Rippee all had four or more blocks in the victory.

In directing the offense, Rippee dished out a career-high 41 assists. Savannah Voelzke and Dapic chipped in with nine and eight kills, respectively. Voelzke added 14 digs and a career-high three service aces. Sophomore libero Okiana Valle paced the team with 15 digs and tied her season high with two aces.

The Razorbacks return to competition Tuesday with a road contest at Oral Roberts, followed by their SEC opener Sept. 25 at LSU.
