COLUMBIA, Mo. – In a matchup of the top two homerun-hitting teams in the SEC, the Razorbacks continue their conference slate with a weekend road trip to face No. 25 Missouri. The three-game set begins Friday at 6:30 p.m. (CT) with each game being streamed live on SEC Network+ which is also available through the WatchESPN app.

Arkansas and Missouri enter the weekend tied for first in the SEC with 37 homeruns apiece. Both teams have had 10 players hit at least one dinger this season. The Razorbacks are paced by senior Nicole Schroeder with 12 homeruns while Missouri is led by Braxton Burnside with nine. With 37 big flies, the teams are tied for 11th in the NCAA.

Two of Arkansas’ four wins against Missouri have come in Columbia, including a series win in 2013. This weekend is just the third series between the teams as SEC opponents. Overall, Missouri owns an 11-4 series lead.

Junior A.J. Belans registered her fifth multi-hit effort of the season and freshman Caroline Hedgcock logged five innings of relief in a 4-2 midweek loss at No. 9 Oklahoma (April 5). Belans was 2-for-3 with an RBI while Madison Yannetti drew three walks against the Sooners.
Down a couple spots but still ranked inside the top 30, the Razorbacks are No. 27 in the April 3 release of the NCAA RPI. This weekend’s opponent, Missouri, is 25th in the RPI. In weekly top-25 rankings, Arkansas is 22nd in the Fast Pitch News poll, 25th in the USA Today/NFCA poll and receiving votes in the ESPN/USA Softball poll.
