OXFORD, Miss. – Arkansas’ soccer team plays at Ole Miss on Sunday at 1 p.m. in a game being televised by Fox SportsSouth.
Ole Miss leads the all-time series 12-3, including a 5-2 lead in Oxford. Last year, Ole Miss, ranked No. 21 in the nation, claimed a 1-0 victory in Fayetteville. Two years ago, Arkansas earned a 2-0 victory in Oxford.
"We’ve established ourselves as liking adversity," head coach Erin Aubry says. "We’ve done a good job of rising to the challenge. We are a worth-ethic oriented team."
Arkansas exploded for four second-half goals at Mississippi State on Friday and rolled to a 4-0 victory. The Razorbacks had two goals from Allie Chandler, and one each fromCamille Floresand Yvonne Desjarlais. Laurel Pastor had two assists and Ally Atkins one.
Chandler and Kelsey Allison lead the team with four goals each while Chandler leads with nine points. Allison and Pastor are tied for second with eight points.
Arkansas has consecutive wins over Kentucky, 2-0, and Mississippi State, 4-0, to outscore its last two opponents 6-0.
The Razorbacks are 5-8-2 overall and 2-4-1 in the SEC.
Following the Ole Miss game, Arkansas plays its home finale against South Carolina on Thursday at 7 p.m. It will be Senior Night for the Razorbacks.
After the South Carolina game, Arkansas closes the regular season at Florida on Oct. 24 and at LSU on Oct. 29.
