FAYETTEVILLE– Coming off its first loss in a spilt doubleheader with Tulsa, Arkansas’ softball team prepares for Seminole State College at Bogle Park on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 5 p.m. This will be the first time the Razorbacks face Seminole State under second-year head coach Mike Larabee. In 2008, Arkansas defeated SSC 11-0 during the Arkansas Fall Festival. “Seminole State is going to be the best junior college we face this fall,”
Larabee said. “We just have to stay focused and execute what we’ve been working on this week.” Seminole State College finished the 2010 season with a 57-17 record and a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament. Last season marked the second consecutive top-five finish for the Trojans under second-year head coach Kristina McSweeney. The most recent game for the Trojans this fall was a loss 5-0 to Oklahoma State on Oct. 2, in Stillwater, Okla. The first pitch for the mid-week game is set for 5 p.m. The Razorbacks’ next game after SSC is a doubleheader with Oklahoma State on Saturday, Oct. 9, beginning at 1 p.m. at Bogle Park.
