FAYETTEVILLE – The Razorback soccer team (11-6, 4-5) will honor its senior class on Sunday when the team will hosts Georgia (11-5-1, 4-4-1) at Razorback Field. The game can be seen live on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) as part of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) television package. Kick-off is slated for a 1 p.m. Seniors Jessie Givens, Taylor Green, Evan Palmer and Yvonne DesJarlais will be honored on the field prior to the start, as the Razorbacks begin the first of two straight home games to close out the regular season.
"This is a special group,” head coach Colby Hale said. “I am so honored to have been their coach for two years. They have been through a lot. They have been a huge part of many program firsts and some pretty important foundational pieces have been laid. They will forever be a very important part of this program’s history. I am astounded by their character, grind, work and love they have put into this and I will forever be grateful to them." The Razorbacks own a 7-2 record at home this season which is a program record for a single season. A victory would give Arkansas another program single-season record for overall wins. The match will include the Kick for a Cure presented by Mercy promotion. The first 200 fans will receive a Kick for a Cure t-shirt. The team will be wearing pink t-shirts during pre-game warm-ups. Fans will then be able to bid on each shirt through a silent auction during the game. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The match is sponsored by P&G.
