Seniors Honored at Annual Banquet
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks honored 20 seniors at the annual football banquet on Friday evening at Fayetteville Town Center. The Voice of the Razorbacks, Chuck Barrett, served as the event’s master of ceremonies.
A total of 13 awards were given out by Arkansas coaches and captains. Seniors Trey Flowers and Martrell Spaight were named Team MVPs.
Flowers, a senior from Huntsville, Alabama, was elected captain by his teammates prior to the season and had one of the finest seasons of his career. The defensive end totaled 63 tackles, with 13.5 coming for loss, 5.0 sacks, six pass breakups and nine quarterback hurries. He ranks third among active SEC players with 17.0 career sacks and was selected to the All-SEC Second Team by the conference’s coaches.
Spaight led the SEC with 123 tackles during the regular season, the most a Razorback has recorded since 2003. The senior from North Little Rock, Arkansas was named to the All-SEC First Team by both the Associated Press and conference coaches. Spaight has accepted an invitation to play in the 2015 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Captains Cup: Head athletic trainer, Matt Summers
Rookie of the Year (Offense): Freshman WR Jared Cornelius
Rookie of the Year (Defense): Freshman CB Henre’ Toliver
Scout Team Award (Offense): Freshman WR Jojo Robinson
Scout Team Award (Defense): Freshman LB Josh Harris
Scout Team Award (Special Teams): Freshman CB Santos Ramirez
Special Teams Award: Senior LS Alan D’Appollonio
Offensive Coach Appreciation: Senior TE AJ Derby and junior WR Keon Hatcher
Defensive Coach Appreciation: Senior CB Tevin Mitchel and senior S Alan Turner
Team MVPs: Senior DE Trey Flowers and senior LB Martrell Spaight
The Razorbacks will travel to Houston to take on the Texas Longhorns in the AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl. The SEC/BIG12 matchup will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston on Monday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m. and will be nationally televised on ESPN.
