Sixth NCAA Gymnastics Regional Coming To Barnhill

The University of Arkansas is no stranger to post-season Gymnastics competition. The selection of the University of Arkansas to host the 2022 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Regional marks the sixth time Barnhill Arena will host an NCAA Regional meet. Arkansas was first selected as a host site in 2006, the fourth year of the program.

2006
Hollywood couldn’t have written a more storybook ending as the first four-year senior class rallied for a second-place finish upsetting No. 9 UCLA. The finish vaulted Arkansas to the NCAA Championship meet for the first time in program history.

2009
The Razorbacks also hosted in 2009 winning their first NCAA Regional title that season. Arkansas entered the meet as the 10-seed and scored a 196.300 upsetting No. 4 Stanford by 0.100 for their first title and fourth trip to the NCAA Championship.

2012
Arkansas grabbed a second-place finish in Barnhill Arena in 2012.

2017
Arkansas posted a season-best scored in 2017 to tie for third place this past season.
