FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – On the heels of a trip to the NCAA Final Round of 16, the Unviersity of Arkansas women’s soccer team ha sbeen recognized its success on the academic side as well.
The Razorbacks placed nine student-athletes on the 2013 Fall Southeastern Conference Honor Roll. Tyler Allen, Teni Butler, Kaylyn Cooper, Yvonne Desjarlais, Ashleigh Ellenwood, Jessie Givens, Margaret Power, Blake Pruitt and Allie Tripp were all honored for their hard work in the classroom following the most successful season in Razorback Soccer history.
The 2013 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2013 Spring, Summer and Fall terms. To be considered for academic honor roll, student-athletes must carry a 3.0 grade point average or better.
“This says a lot about our student-athletes and group as a whole,” said Head Coach Colby Hale. “Obviously we’re very proud of these nine young ladies. We have one of the top academic support groups in the nation, led by Eric Wood and Tamesha Greenlee who do an outstanding job in this area. We have student-athletes who are committed to greatness in every area and I think this speaks volumes about them.”
