Softball plays Tulsa on Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas softball team will play the second of three scheduled fall doubleheaders Saturday when its hosts the University of Tulsa at Bogle Park. Game one of the twin bill is set for a 1 p.m. first pitch. It will be the Razorbacks second in-game competition under new head coach Mike Larabee.

The Razorbacks defeated Lake Land College earlier this month in a pair of games at Bogle Park to open its fall season of competition. Courtney Breault and Miranda Dixon each had two hits and an RBI in the opener to lead the Razorbacks to a 5-1 victory. In the finale, Arkansas capitalized on two Laker miscues to come away with a 3-0 win.

Tulsa captured the 2009 Conference USA regular season and tournament titles on its way to a third NCAA appearance in four years.

After this weekend’s games with Tulsa, the Razorbacks will close out its fall ball schedule Oct. 3 with a two-game set against Seminole College. For more information, log on to ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
