Spring schedule begins Saturday at OSU

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas’ soccer team has five exhibition matches scheduled for this spring, beginning with Saturday’s 2 p.m. contest at Oklahoma State.

Two matches are scheduled in Fayetteville at Razorback Field – April 3 against Kansas and April 17 for the annual alumni match. The Kansas match is at 2 p.m. and will be followed by a youth clinic. The alumni match is at noon.

The five-match schedule includes two games on the road on April 10. The Razorbacks play at TCU at 1 p.m. and face Texas Tech in Forth Worth at 4 p.m.

"We are extremely excited for our competitive spring schedule this year," head coach Erin Aubry says. "The quality opponents we have added to our out-of-season schedule is a true testament to the commitment Arkansas soccer is making to ‘playing the best so we can be the best’ mentality. Our spring schedule is a prelude to the challenging fall schedule we have ahead of us. It is an exciting time for Razorback soccer."

Arkansas is coming off an 8-7-4 season in Aubry’s first year as head coach in 2009. The Razorbacks were 11-8-0 in 2008, giving Arkansas consecutive winning seasons for the first time in program history.
