Spring season ends Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas continued its spring exhibition season with a trip to Fort Worth, Texas, for a pair of matches at Texas Christian this past weekend.

The Razorbacks fell to TCU, 2-0.

"I was very happy with our effort to change our mentality in the second half of the TCU game," head coach Erin Aubry said. "It’s not easy to play poorly for 35 minutes and go down two goals, and then pick it up and play some great soccer. However, it’s usually too little too late and we saw that on Saturday."

Soon after the TCU game, Arkansas took on Texas Tech on the TCU campus and dropped a 1-0 decision.

"We had some great individual performances on the day with players like Rachel Carlson and Laurel Pastor, but the team wasn’t on the same page and it showed," Aubry said. "We can, and choose to, learn from all our defeats and have already taken a lot from this weekend."

The Razorbacks, who a week earlier topped Kansas, 2-0, close their spring exhibition season this weekend with the annual alumni match at noon on Saturday at Razorback Field.

"I am looking forward to this final week of our spring season with the team, and welcoming our alumni back to campus on Saturday," Aubry said.
