LAS VEGAS-The University of Arkansas men’s tennis team closed the Larry Easley Invitational Saturday evening with three singles victories at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. Senior Gergoire Lehmann, junior Mafred Jeske and sophomore Jovan Parlic all closed their 2012 fall season with a singles win. Lehmann took down Arizona’s Matt Dunn 6-2, 7-6, while Jeske defeated Oklahoma State’s Richard Del Nunzio 6-7, 6-3, 6-2. Both Razorbacks advanced to the consolation finals which would be held on Sunday, but choose not to play each other. Parlic also closed his tournament with a singles win over Northern Arizona’s Sarp Laleli 6-1, 6-3.
"We closed the tournament out strong today," head coach Robert Cox said. "I am proud of all three Razorbacks, they really came out to play."In doubles play, Jeske and Parlic dropped an intense quarterfinal match to the number two seed from Oklahoma State duo of Biktyakov and Del Nunzio 9-8 (4).
