On Tuesday, April 15th, 27 senior student-athletes from 11 sports had the opportunity to participate in Fast Track. Fast Track, hosted by Razorback Student-Athlete Development, is an event that allows Razorback student-athletes to practice their interview and networking skills. Student-athletes were paired with local employers for four 10 minute mock interview sessions. While this was a practice interview, students were encouraged to treat the event as if they were in an actual interview.
25 employers were in attendance representing 11 companies. Companies in attendance included: American National Insurance, Arkansas Support Network, Arvest, Cintas, Fayetteville Public Schools, JB Hunt, Northwestern Mutual, Pfizer, The University of Arkansas, US Marines, and Wal-Mart. Each employer was asked to fill out an evaluation for each student they met with so that the students could get feedback about their interviews. Senior gymnast Scarlett Williams said, "It was a great opportunity to interview and network with possible future employers." Several of the students were highly encouraged to apply for open positions the different companies.
To end the night, there was a mixer for the student-athletes to network with all of the employers. Student-athletes were encouraged to network with employers they did not interview with and collect business cards.
