Talent Show Benefits Community For Fourth-Straight Year

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — For the fourth-straight year, the Top Hog Talent Show featured gifted Razorback student-athletes who performed their unique talents in front of an audience for charity.

Hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) on Feb. 4 in the Arkansas Union Ballroom, the event serves as a fundraiser for local charitable and educational institutions.

The talent show was organized by the SAAC events and campus connections committees, chaired by softball players Parker Pocklington and Grace Moll.

This year’s show raised more than $180 and collected more than 40 children’s books. The collected money will be used to purchase more children’s books earmarked for donation to local elementary school children.

Guest judges included nutritional staff member Tonya Watkins, Associated Student Government President Connor Flocks, ZTA Vice President Peyton Podschwit and former Razorback student-athlete Flavia Araujo.

Contestants included members of the volleyball team who performed a group dance routine, women’s track and field athlete Kiara Parker sang a song and a trio of softball players composed of Moll, AJ Belans and Sydney Benz performed a rap song.

Softball players Autumn Storms and Caroline Hedgecock were both selected by the judges as the event winners for their guitar and vocal duet.
