Tatlow Recognized For Community Involvement

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — For the third time in her career, junior Chelsea Tatlow has been named to 2017 SEC Women’s Swimming and Diving Community Service team as announced by the league on Monday.

Tatlow, serving as the swimming and diving community service coordinator, has made an astounding impact on the community with her involvement throughout her career as a Razorback.

The social work major has made it an initiative to leave a lasting impact on the youth in the Northwest Arkansas area. Working with special education at Springdale Junior High, Tatlow has also participated in the Book Hogs Read to Win program at Butterfield Elementary and in Razorbacks Reads at the Springdale Public Library. Tatlow has finished with a 4.0 GPA in four of her five semesters, earning a spot on the Dean’s List every semester and is a four-time member on the Chancellor’s List. She was also a 2016 CSCAA First Team Scholar All-American.

Tatlow volunteered her time with the Relay for Life Cancer Society, donated funds for the Salvation Army and 7Hills Homeless Shelter and has filled backpacks for Girls on the Run. She has been a part of the Fayetteville Food Hub, the Fayetteville Underground and Fayetteville Parks and Recreation.

The Columbia, Missouri, native has volunteered in various service projects including Habitat for Humanity, Veteran’s Hospital, the Bentonville Half Marathon, Special Olympics, Operations Baton Rouge Flood Victims and Shop With Razorbacks at Toys-R-Us.
