ATHENS, Ga. — Chelsea Tatlow claimed the 200 butterfly title at the NCAA Last Chance meet Sunday afternoon in Athens, Georgia, with the second-fastest time in school history (1:55.82).

Tatlow advanced to Sunday’s final by tying her personal-best performance (1:57.43) that she swam Saturday in a time trial. A day after swimming the fastest time on the team this season, Tatlow dropped nearly two seconds off her personal best, touching first in 1:55.82 of the 200 fly finals. The Columbia, Missouri, native now has the top-three times in the event this year and four of the top five.

“All four of our ladies represented us well this weekend,” head coach Neil Harper said. “It is difficult to turn around after the SEC Championships and try to be back at your best. Sometimes, it’s just who can find a way to take it to the next level.”

Also swimming in the 200 fly Sunday, Jessie Garrison finished third in 1:57.93.

On Saturday, junior Olivia Weekley swam in the A final of the 100 fly where she touched fourth in 53.51. Sophomore Madison Strathman competed in the 100 breaststroke, touching in 1:02.64 in the prelims.
