FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team wrapped its week of full practices Thursday leading up to Saturday’s game with Ole Miss. The 21st-ranked Razorbacks (4-2, 1-2, SEC) return to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for the first time in 28 days to face the 3-3 (1-2, SEC) Rebels.
Head coach Bobby Petrino expressed his excitement in returning to play in front of a home crowd.
"It’s nice to be back home," Coach Petrino said. "It’s been a long time; 28 days I guess it’s been. The last time we were here we had a great atmosphere. It’s going to be that way again on Saturday. The sellout helps all our players with all our energy. We just have to go out and perform well and get a win."
Coach Petrino was quick to mention the effort made by the Razorbacks in practice this week.
"We worked hard," Coach Petrino said. "It was a grind. We came out today and I thought we executed very well."
This season, the Razorbacks are averaging 480.0 yards per game to rank second in the Southeastern Conference and 10th nationally. Coach Petrino noted the importance of continuing to execute the team’s game plan.
"We’ve got to go out and perform," Coach Petrino said. "We’ve got to do the things we know how to do and play well together as a football team."
The Razorback-Rebel football game will air on the SEC Network at 11:21 a.m. For more information on UA football, please visit ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
