FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas volleyball team hosted a meet-and-greet with season-ticket holders Saturday at Barnhill Arena. The Razorbacks’ workout in front of the group capped the team’s first full week of practice; Arkansas reported for preseason practice on Aug. 8.
"We’re really excited about the upcoming season," head coach Robert Pulliza told the crowd. "We haven’t really put in much system work yet in this first week but we have already seen some great things because they are working so well with each other. This is a group that will represent this university and this community well."
Pulliza addressed the crowd at the start of the workout session as the team stretched. After warm-up drills and ball-handling exercises, the Razorbacks split into two teams for a three-game scrimmage. Following the two-hour practice, the players, coaches and support staff joined the season-ticket holders for a barbecue dinner.
