Tennis Hogs Ranked 16th in Latest FILA Rankings

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas is ranked 16th for the second consecutive week in the FILA Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings released Tuesday.

The Razorbacks, ranked 58th at the beginning of the season, are 12-6 this season and 3-3 in the Southeastern Conference. Arkansas is 7-6 against teams currently ranked in the top 75, with all six losses coming to teams ranked in this week’s top 20.

Arkansas split its matches over the weekend against Florida and South Carolina, ranked 12th and 56th, respectively, in this week’s poll.

Georgia is the nation’s No. 1 team and has been since February 21, followed by Pepperdine, Texas, Duke and Illinois to round out the top five.

Six SEC teams are ranked in the top 20, while all twelve schools are ranked in the top 75. The six in the top 20 is more than any other conference.

Arkansas returns to action Friday when they travel to Starkville, Miss. to face 57th-ranked Mississippi State at 2 p.m. The Hogs then return to Fayetteville to host 10th-ranked Ole Miss Sunday at 1 p.m.
