@RazorbackFB Featured In SEC Spring Football Preview
Yesterday, Arkansas was featured as part of the SEC’s Spring Football Preview Series. The series includes in-depth analysis of each conference program heading into the 2014 season by “Mr. College Football” Tony Barnhart. Barnhart has covered the SEC for more than 30 years for many media outlets including ESPN, CBS Sports, CSS and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Razorbacks’ preview focused on quarterback Brandon Allen’s improvement after recovering from an early-season injury and progress made on implementing head coach Bret Bielema’s preferred offensive attack. Coach Bielema described the difference in offensive philosophy as sports cars compared to an off-road vehicle. For the complete story, click here.
Echavarria goes low, @RazorbackMGOLF Turns in Solid First Day at SEC Championship
Sophomore Nicolas Echavarria wasted no time in making an impact in his first SEC Championship. Birdies on each of his first two holes helped set the tone for a bogey-free four-under par 66 by Echavarria on Friday to put in him a tie for third place overall heading into Saturday’s second round. Echavarria’s 66 was part of four counting scores at 72 or lower for the Razorbacks as they shot even-par 280 to finish the first day in sole possession of fifth place. Arkansas is back on the course at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday while the three-day event will conclude on Sunday. For live scoring, click here. For a full recap of day one, click here.
