@RazorbackVB Headed To The Big DanceFor the second-consecutive season, the University of Arkansas volleyball team heard its name called for postseason play and is headed to the 2013 NCAA Volleyball Tournament! The Razorbacks earned an at-large bid into the tournament and will open first-round play Friday against Creighton with the match scheduled for a 4 p.m. start at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan.

Mike’d Up Opens At Sassy’s Red House

The first installment of Mike’d Up, the weekly radio show dedicated to Arkansas basketball, begins on Monday night at Sassy’s Red House in Fayetteville. Hosted by voice of the Razorbacks Chuck Barrett, the show runs from 7-8 p.m. while Coach Anderson will be joined by Razorback freshmen Bobby Portis and Moses Kingsley. Fans are encouraged to tweet questions for Coach Anderson to @RazorbackMBB using the hashtag #MikedUp.

Below is a summary of how former Razorbacks fared in the NFL yesterday:
Knile Davisreturned a kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown, breaking the Kansas City franchise record for longest kickoff return and tying the 2nd-longest kickoff return in NFL history. Davis ended the game with 168 all-purpose yards with another kickoff return for 22 yards, one 20-yard rush and two receptions for 18 yards. The Chiefs are 9-3 and tied for the 2nd-best record in the AFC.

Jarius Wrightcaught three passes for 53 yards for Minnesota and Jerry Franklinrecorded one tackle for Chicago as the Vikings earned a 23-20 win in overtime over their division rival. Peyton Hillis led the Giants with 45 rushing yards on six carries and caught one six-yard pass in a 24-17 win at Washington. Dennis Johnsongained 13 yards on three rushes and added one 11-yard reception for Houston as the Texans hosted New England and fellow former Razorbacks Jake Bequette, Ryan Mallett and D.J. Williams. The Patriots won 34-31 and are tied for the AFC’s 2nd-best record at 9-3. Jason Peters and Philadelphia earned a 24-21 win over Arizona to stretch its winning streak to four in a row and moved into a tie for the NFC East division lead. Nate Garner and the Dolphins totaled 453 yards of offense in a 23-3 win at the New York Jets to improve to 6-6 and move into sole possession of 2nd place in the AFC East. George Wilson recorded five tackles, including three solo and 1.0 for loss, and two passes defensed at Indianapolis.
