McDaniel Named To 2014 Allstate SEC Legends ClassThe 2014 Allstate SEC Basketball Legends were announced Wednesday, including former Arkansas guard Clint McDaniel. The 2014 Legends class will be honored at the 2014 SEC Basketball Tournament in March, with each member being honored during their institution’s first game of the week. @RazorbackWTEN’s Hudson Named SEC Freshman Of The WeekAfter helping the No. 51 University of Arkansas women’s tennis team (2-0) to a sweep in its season-opening doubleheader on Sunday, Shannon Hudson was named SEC Freshman of the Week by the league office on Wednesday. The Virginia Beach, Va., native went 3-0 individually in the team’s pair of dual matches against Wichita State, earning two wins at No. 2 singles and a third with Sarah McLean by upsetting the ITA Central Region No. 7 doubles team of Schiller/Stevens. Anderson Previews Practice With RazorVision@RazorbackBSB junior second baseman Brian Anderson met with RazorVision with practice starting tomorrow. Anderson, a native of Edmund, Okla., was named a second-team preseason All-American by Perfect Game on Monday. For more on that recognition, click here. Anderson spoke with RazorVision about the preseason honor, his focus in the offseason, beginning workouts this week and more. The Razorbacks open their season Feb. 14 at Baum Stadium, hosting Appalachian State in the first of a three-game weekend series.

Four Former @BretBielema Student-Athletes In Super Bowl XLVIII@RazorbackFB head coach Bret Bielema leads all active collegiate head coaches with four former student-athletes that have advanced to Super Bowl XLVIII. The game, which will be played Feb. 2 at 4:30 p.m. on FOX, features Montee Ball on Denver and Russell Wilson, O’Brien Schofield and Chris Maragos on Seattle. The Seahawks also feature former Arkansas offensive guard Alvin Bailey, whose appearance marks the sixth straight Super Bowl with a former Razorback.

@RazorbackSwim’s Sean Schimmel Recaps Training, Looks Ahead To Home MeetsUniversity of Arkansas swimming and diving head coach Sean Schimmel met with RazorVision to recap the team’s training trip in Florida and to talk about the team’s upcoming meet against Rice and Clemson on Saturday at noon inside the Arkansas Natatorium.

The meet will mark the first of two consecutive meets at the Arkansas Natatorium this semester. Admission is free to the Razorback’s final two home meets of the season.
