@RazorbackFB Trio Lands on Watch Lists
Monday morning marked the beginning of award season for college football with the release of the watch lists for a handful of the most prestigious awards in the sport. The Razorbacks’ running back duo of Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams represent the program on the watch list for the 78th annual Maxwell Award while defensive end Trey Flowers was named to the 76-man watch list for the 20th annual Chuck Bednarik Award.
@RazorbackMBB Sends Two to LeBron James Skills Academy
Following strong performances at their respective Nike Skill Academics at the end of June, Razorback sophomore forward Bobby Portis and junior wing Michael Qualls have been invited to attend the LeBron James Skills Academy starting Wednesday in Las Vegas. The Skills Academy features the top 30 collegiate players and top 80 high school players and will run from July 9-12. Portis recently made his second trip to the Nike Big Man Skills Academy while Qualls was one of 15 collegiate wings to attend the Kevin Durrant Skills Academy in Washington, D.C.
Either Portis or Qualls scored in double figures in 30 of 34 games in 2013-14. Duo combined to average 23.9 ppg and 11.3 rpg.

Vote Pisechko as 2013-14 Favorite Elite 89 Winner
Razorback middle-distance runner Andrew Pisechko was the recipient of the Elite 89 Award for men’s track and field at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships in March. He became the first University of Arkansas student-athlete to win the award. Pisechko boasted a 4.0 cumulative GPA as an accounting major and was a member of the Razorbacks’ All-American distance medley relay. The Elite 89 Award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA participating at the final site for each of the NCAA’s 89 championships.

As part of the Arkansas Razorbacks Summer Road Trip, there are three more stop planned for the month of July (see schedule below). Most recently, Razorback Athletics closed out the month of June with a trip to the 34th Annual Malvern Brickfest.
