@RazorbackBSBBlanks Alabama 1-0, Captures Series WinThe Razorbacks used 7.0 shutout innings from Chris Oliver Sunday afternoon to edge Alabama 1-0 and take the series from the Crimson Tide.

Oliver allowed just four hits and faced two batters over the minimum, while recording a career-high six strikeouts. Michael Gunn came on in relief and slammed the door with two perfect innings to earn his third save of the year.

Krisjon Wilkerson scored the only run Arkansas would need in the second inning. After a one-out triple off the wall in left-center field, he was knocked home on an RBI groundout by Bobby Wernes. Andrew Benintendi led the Razorbacks with two hits of the team’s five hits.

The Razorbacks will play a doubleheader Tuesday against Mississippi Valley State at Baum Stadium with first pitch slated for 3:05 p.m. For tickets to the contest click here.

Devon Wallace provided the big blow with a third-inning grand slam while Amanda Geile added three RBI of her own in the win. Ten different Razorbacks scored at least one run with nine different players tallying at least one hit against the Rebels.
