FAYETTEVILLE-Arkansas junior swimmer Kristen Thibodeaux was named to the 2005 Southeastern Conference Swimming and Diving Good Works Team, the conference office announced.
Thibodeaux, a Spring, Texas native and freestyle and butterfly specialists for the Lady Razorbacks, was selected for her outstanding community service efforts.
Arkansas swimming head coach Anne Goodman James said she was proud of Thibodeaux’s contributions in the area.
“There can’t be someone more deserving of this honor than Kristen,” Goodman James said. “She takes on numerous things, commitments big and small, and fits them into her schedule. She’s an exceptional young woman.”
Thibodeaux’s community service efforts include volunteering at Jefferson Elementary School, visiting the Little Rock Children’s Hospital and working with the Champions of Character, a group that performs skits about leadership at junior high schools.
