FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas soccer team has had a third game selected for television this season with Cox Sports Television (CST) broadcasting the game against Ole Miss.
Ole Miss visits Razorback Field for a 7 p.m. contest on Sept. 23.
Earlier, the Southeastern Conference announced Arkansas’ 7 p.m. home game against Georgia on Sept. 30 and the 7 p.m. game at Alabama on Oct. 14 are both being broadcast by Fox Sports Net, which is Fox Sports Southwest in Arkansas.
In addition, the SEC Championship from Orange Beach, Ala., on Nov. 6 is being televised by ESPNU.
Head coach Erin Aubry’s club opens the season on Aug. 13 with an exhibition game against Oklahoma at 7 p.m. at Razorback Field. The season officially gets underway on Aug. 19 when the Razorbacks entertain SMU at 7 p.m.
The schedule features 10 home games this season for Aubry, who returns 15 letterwinners from last year’s squad. Top returnees are senior defender Kailey Anders and sophomore defender Melanie Foncham, who both started all 19 games a year ago. Other returning starters are junior forward Allie Chandler, sophomore midfielder Jessie Givens and sophomore defender Jenn Fryrear. Chandler is the top returning scorer with four goals and 10 points in 16 games while sophomore midfielder Taylor Green had two goals.
