FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Approximately 2,400 north end zone tickets remain for the University of Arkansas’ football game against Georgia at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Tickets are available online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com and continue to be available at both the Razorback Ticket Center (8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and the War Memorial Stadium box office (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) on Thursday and Friday. The War Memorial Stadium opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Consistent with previously applicable donation components for renewable tickets in designated sections at War Memorial Stadium, the $65 north end zone tickets for Saturday’s game require a donation for non-Razorback Foundation members. Last season, the donation was $75 for two games for tickets in the north end zone in War Memorial Stadium. Remaining tickets for the north end zone for Saturday’s game include a $35 donation.
“We want to thank the more than 52,000 fans who have already secured their tickets for the Arkansas- Georgia football game this weekend,” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. “We appreciate their commitment and thanks to their early support, on Saturday we will exceed the attendance for games at War Memorial Stadium last season. We are looking forward to the game Saturday and appreciate fans throughout the state providing our team with a home field advantage.”
In an effort to maximize attendance at Saturday’s game, the University of Arkansas offered Razorback Foundation members the opportunity to purchase additional tickets, which when combined with initial sales, resulted in the total purchase of more than 4,000 north end zone tickets. In addition, approximately 3,200 tickets, including tickets returned by the University of Georgia in the visiting team section, have been sold at the War Memorial Stadium box office in the past two weeks.
Last season, Arkansas hosted two games at War Memorial Stadium. A total of 47,358 fans attended a non-conference game against Samford while 45,198 fans attended the Razorbacks’ conference game against Mississippi State.
Country music star and Arkansas native Justin Moore will help kick off the Razorback football weekend in Central Arkansas on Friday with the Hometown Throwdown presented by First Security Bank on Friday, at 7 p.m. at the First Security Amphitheater in Little Rock.
Backroad Anthem and Just Sayin’ will also be performing as part of the concert lineup. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster (http://bit.ly/ZZrOcm). Reserved seating is sold out, but general admission seats are still available for $20.
