FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –-Razorback men’s basketball season tickets are now available for the 2008-09 season.
John Pelphrey is entering his second season as head coach of the Razorbacks. Arkansas is coming off its 30thNCAA Tournament berth, which included the first tournament win for the Razorbacks since the 1998-99 season. Last year’s team finished 23-12 overall record, which included an impressive home record of 15-1.
This year’s home schedule includes dates against Oklahoma, Kentucky, Texas, Tennessee and 14 other opponents, plus two exhibition games. Season ticket holders gain access to 20 home games in all, beginning with the exhibition games on Nov. 3 (Campbellsville) and Nov. 6 (Dillard). The regular-season opener is Nov. 14 against Southeastern Louisiana.
The Razorbacks begin the 2008-09 season with the Red-White scrimmage on Friday, Oct. 24. Admission to the scrimmage is a canned food item, which will be donated to the Salvation Army. This will be the first opportunity to see both the men’s and women’s basketball teams in action. The women’s team will scrimmage at 7:30, followed by the men’s scrimmage around 8:30.
