HOUSTON, Texas — Razorback tennis player Henrik Tofft fell one match short from qualifying for the main draw of the ITA Clay Court Invitational Wednesday afternoon.Tofft’s morning opponent was Josh Goffi of Clemson. Tofft won the pro set match 8-2, to advance to the next round of the quarterfinals.Tofft’s afternoon opponent was East Tennessee State’s No. 1 player Gustavo Gomez. Tofft lost to Gomez 8-6.“He competed really well,” head coach Robert Cox said. “He just didn’t play to his potential in the second match.”Teammate Oskar Johansson will appear in the main draw of the invitational this weekend. The main draw includes the nation’s top-56 players, as well as the winners from the quarterfinal rounds. Johansson will play at 8:30 a.m. FridayA Razorback team consisting Chris Campbell, Tiago Azevedo, Brad Berry, Aleksey Bubis, John Deaton, Stephen Hunton, Magnus Kullenberg, Eduardo Pacheco, Tim Schuler and Ronnie Stutz will travel to Muncie, Ind. for the Ball State Invitational.
