Toy drive and autographs at men’s basketball

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fans attending the University of Arkansas men’s basketball game on Dec. 20, against Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m., are encouraged to bring a new non-gift wrapped toy to Bud Walton Arena for donation and will have an opportunity to get autographs from select members of the 2011 Razorback football team. Donated toys will be forwarded to the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter and Toys for Tots to be distributed to area children for the holiday season. Collection bins will be located at all four entrances to Bud Walton Arena and fans with donations will be allowed to enter the arena before the general public while also receiving a voucher for two women’s basketball tickets for every toy donated. “We want to invite Razorback fans to join with us as we help provide toys to children this holiday season,” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. “The holidays can often be a difficult time for some families in our area. This is a great opportunity to give back to those in our community and show them the generosity of the Razorback Nation.” The autograph session with the Razorback football team is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and run through 6:30 p.m. A limited number of commemorative 2012 Cotton Bowl posters will be available and fans are limited to having one item signed per player. Tickets for the 2011-12 Arkansas men’s basketball season are available through the Razorback Ticket Office by calling 1-800-982-HOGS or online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com. Along with single-game admissions, the Ticket Office also has a pair of mini plans available for the remainder of the season. Single-game tickets are $25.
