Traxson added to Athletic Training Staff

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas welcomed the return of Jason Traxson to the athletic training room staff it was announced today. “We are excited to have Jason back with the program,” said Arkansas co-head coach René Cook. “We know he’ll do a great job working with our team. His demeanor, character and athletic training knowledge will continue to contribute to our success as a program.” Traxson returns to Arkansas after a year at the University of Cincinnati where he worked with the football team. Traxson will work primarily with the Razorbacks’ nationally-recognized gymnastics team, a position he is familiar with. Prior to his time at Cincinnati, Traxson was a student athletic trainer for the Razorbacks and worked with gymnastics, football and cross country. His other experience includes Razorback football camps and working with Rogers High School as an on-site athletic trainer. Traxson completed his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at Arkansas in 2006 and earned his master’s from Arkansas in kinesiology in May 2008. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, earned his certification in 2008 and is a member of the Razorback Athletic Trainers’ Association.
