Tretola Named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola has been named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday.

The award is Tretola’s first career SEC weekly honor and the first the Razorbacks have earned this season.

Tretola helped pave the way for Arkansas’ third straight game with over 225 yards on the ground, as the team rushed for 275 yards in Saturday’s win at Tennessee. The San Bernardino, Calif. native played left guard for all 73 snaps on Saturday and helped clear the way for both Alex Collins and Rawleigh Williams III to both go over 100 yards rushing. The duo became the first Arkansas tandem to do so in an SEC game since Darren McFadden and Felix Jones in 2007.

The offensive line did not allow a sack for the fourth time in five games on Saturday while Tretola earned an 83 percent grade for the contest and had four knockdowns. Over the course of the season, Tretola has played 358 total snaps and graded out at 83 percent.

The Razorbacks will play their third consecutive SEC game away from home on Saturday when they play at No. 8 Alabama. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN and kick off at 6 p.m. Central time.
