ATHENS, Ga. — Freshmen Regina Plasencia and Gabriela Lopez and senior Meagan Roberts will take part in a single-day, 36 hole women’s golf tournament at the University of Georgia Tuesday. The trio will get their first look at the UGA Golf Course, the host for this year’s 2013 NCAA Championship. The event is not considered a collegiate event and will not count in their college scores but Razorback head coach Shauna Estes-Taylor will accompany the trio. “This is a great opportunity to get in a couple of rounds on a golf course that we hope to see again this spring,” Estes-Taylor said. “None of these players has had a chance to this course yet so I think it will be a good confidence builder for the spring.” Lopez currently leads the team with a71.67 stroke average followed by Plasencia with a 75.0 mark. Roberts, who has played in just one event, averages 75.33 this season.
