FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – More than 22 NFL scouts congregated at the Walker Pavilion on the campus of the University of Arkansas on Wednesday morning for the Razorbacks’ annual pro timing day.
Twelve former Razorbacks participated in a number of drills including the 40-yard dash, the standing broad jump, vertical jump, bench press and the 60-yard shuttle run. Times and results varied as individual performances were recorded by each NFL representative. An official report of results was not issued.
“It is always a big day for our program when the NFL scouts come on our campus and look at our guys,” Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt said. “I heard a lot of compliments about our young men and the way they handle themselves. The scouts were also impressed with our new strength and conditioning center. Hopefully some of our guys improved their stock with the workout today.”
Those former Hogs participating in at least some of the drills included Anders Akerstrom, DeCori Birmingham, David Carlton, Arrion Dixon, Titus Peebles, Elliott Harris, Steven Harris, Jeb Huckeba, Matt Jones, C.J. McLain, Gene Perry, Marcus Whitmore and Michael Young.
In addition to the drills listed above, Jones, Huckeba and Steven Harris participated in various position workouts.
