FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas and the Northwest Arkansas region has been featured in the July issue of US Airways magazine. US Airways magazine, published once a month for passengers and patrons of the airline, features a town or area of interest; July 2013 issue gave Northwest Arkansas a 63-page spread.&The article goes into full depth on the region of Northwest Arkansas; giving a visual tour that will entice readers to visit. Highlighted areas include Fayetteville, Bentonville, Springdale, Siloam Springs, Rogers, Huntsville and Eureka Springs.& &The University of Arkansas is mentioned throughout the entire spread, but also has nine pages dedicated to the institution including information on the history, research, athletics and experience that is offered. &The article also features Arkansas athletics and explains how much the region is brought together by the love for the Razorbacks. Jeff Long, vice chancellor and director of athletics is quoted in the article saying, "Razorback Athletics is committed to helping students achieve their full potential through intercollegiate athletics, which in turn ensures that the university remains a leader in higher education."& &The University of Arkansas and Fayetteville is one of three Southeastern Conference schools/cities that have been featured in US Airways magazine in the past 11 months.
