FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – In recognition of National Student-Athlete Day, the University of Arkansas has designated Friday as “Student-Athlete Day.” Several student-athletes will be recognized on the field prior to the start of the 7:05 p.m. baseball game against Tennessee at Baum Stadium. Those being recognized either graduated last fall, or will graduate this spring or this summer. The ceremony begins at approximately 6:40 p.m. Fans are asked to take their seats a few minutes early for the presentation. Student-athletes being recognized include senior Richard Smith, senior Mark Bokermann, senior Justin Scott, senior Scott Davenport, senior Jimmy Beasley, senior George Wilson, senior Tony Bua, senior Ryan Gullett, junior Steven Harris, sophomore James Johnson, junior Josh Dennis, junior Radale Pearson, senior Jerry Reith, senior Ryan Sorahan, J. Strain and senior Tom Crowder from the football team; seniors Chad Faucett and Adam Wing from the golf team; seniors Jamar Blackmon, Billy Pharis and Charles Tatum from the basketball team; senior P.J. Brown from the track team; senior Brett Hagedorn from the baseball team; and senior Nathan Price from the tennis team.
