Update On Gametime, TV Against Alabama

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 20 Arkansas’ SEC home opener against No. 1 Alabama at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 8, will be televised nationally on either CBS or ESPN, the SEC office announced on Monday. A final decision will be made following Saturday’s games.

If picked up by CBS, the game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT. The ESPN broadcast will be a 6 p.m. CT start.

With each team still having one game to play before the meeting, Arkansas could potentially face the No. 1 team in the Associated Press poll for 22nd time in program history and the ninth time at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Three of the Razorbacks’ last five showdowns against the No. 1 team in the nation have been against Alabama.

With nine wins in its last 11 games dating back to last season, Arkansas will play host to Alcorn State on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. Currently riding the nation’s longest winning streak at 16 games, including nine straight SEC contests, Alabama will host SEC East Division foe Kentucky before coming to Fayetteville.
