FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas women’s track and field team is ranked No. 7 in week seven of the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Rankings.
Florida maintains the No. 1 spot, followed by Oregon and Texas A&M, respectively. Georgia comes in at No. 5, with Texas in the No. 6 spot, just ahead of the No. 7 Razorbacks. Full rankings can be found here.
Following a third-place finish at the SEC indoor championships, the Razorbacks earned several SEC honors. The women’s team earned three First Team All-SEC honors in Stephanie Brown, Grace Heymsfield and Dominique Scott.
Diana Harper, Jessica Kamilos, Keri McClary, Danielle Nowell, Tamara Myers, Ariel Voskamp, Rebekka Simko, Brianna Swinton, Chrishuna Williams and Regine Williams were named Second Team All-SEC. Distance runner, Sandie Raines represented Arkansas on the All-Freshman list.
The No. 7 Razorbacks will compete at the NCAA Championships, searching for their first-ever NCAA Title. Arkansas has qualified nine individuals for the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships, along with two relays for a total of 12 scoring chances.
