FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The 2013 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship, hosted by the University of Arkansas, has been named a finalist for the Sports Travel Awards Best Collegiate Multi-Sport Event of the year by SportsTravel magazine. The event, which took place in March, is one of five finalists with fan voting determining the winner in each of the 10 categories that range from amateur to professional sporting events. The Sports Travel Awards will be presented at the TEAMS ’13 Conference & Expo, Nov. 4-7, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 2013 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships was the 11th held at the Randal Tyson Track Center since opening in 2000 and the Razorback men won their 41st NCAA title. The two-day event brought roughly 7,500 fans and 540 student-athletes from around the country to Fayetteville and the fastest indoor sprint track in the world.
