The Opponent
Head coach Ronda Hubbard is in her second year as the head coach and 14th season overall with the Lions. MSSU’s roster features four seniors and one junior to lead the team and their leading scorer, Sharese Jones, returns after averaging 13.7 ppg and 7.3 rpg last year.

What Coach Dykes Said
We’re obviously excited about Sunday afternoon. With eight new players almost everything is new to us – how we handle walk throughs, how we handle pregame warmups, how we get dressed, all those things. I trust the leadership on this team with Jessica (Jackson), Kelsey (Brooks), Mo (Melissa Wolff) and Khadijah (West). Missouri Southern is a good team and they are capable of winning a lot of games. Defense and rebounding are our biggest concern right now in practice. I think we can score a little bit easier than last year but we need to play a game so our newcomers can understand how hard we have to train and how hard we have to fight.

Arkansas in Exhibitions
Arkansas is 31-11 all-time in exhibition games including an 11-0 mark against other NCAA teams – that is the longest winning streak in the Razorbacks’ exhibition history. The Razorbacks are 2-0 against the Lions in the regular season and hold a 5-0 advantage over MSSU in exhibition action.

About the Schedule
Arkansas may well have one of the toughest schedules in college women’s basketball. The Razorbacks face nine teams who are ranked or getting votes in the preseason Associated Press poll and eight from the preseason USA Today Coaches Poll. The Razorbacks open SEC play facing four ranked conference opponents all of whom advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season.
