Weather suspends Round 2 of Baylor Intercollegiate

DALLAS-The University of Arkansas men’s golf team ended the first day at the Baylor Intercollegiate stuck in the second round after heavy rains forced suspension of play. The Razorbacks are currently in eighth place among the field of 12 teams with an 18-over 300 on the par 71, 7,068-yard course at the Royal Oaks Country Club.Iowa leads the pack with a 5-over score of 292, following in second place by a single stroke is the 2009 NCAA Champion Texas A&M. New Mexico slips into third with 10-over 291, followed by Texas (+13), SMU (+14), Baylor (+15), and Tulsa (+17).The player leader board remains tightly stacked as 17 individuals are tied for the first four places. Vince India (Iowa), Joakim Mikkelsen (Baylor), Cameron Peck (Texas A&M) are tied at first with 1-under par.David Lingmerth is tied for fourth place with even par standing. Freshman Razorback Josh Eure is tied for 18th at 3-over followed by teammates Ethan Tracy (+6), Jamie Marshall (+9), and Austin Cook (+9).The tournament is scheduled to resume with the final 12 holes of the second round on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. CDT and will be immediately followed by the final round.
