Wednesday practice report

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Razorback football team returned to the practice field Wednesday afternoon for a workout inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Following practice, defensive coordinator Willy Robinson spoke with the media.

On Troy’s offense:

"They have a tremendously high-powered offense. Their run is very dangerous and it’s not just one sided with the passing game. They are highly ranked is different categories of their passing game but it’s their simple running game that helps set up that passing game."

On Troy QB Levi Brown:

"He has an extremely quick release. He doesn’t mess around with who he is throwing it to. He has a guy that he looks for in each route and he gets it there very accurately. They are closest to Auburn in the pace that they operate at. They run a lot more four wides and five wides. Troy is extremely explosive on offense with all the things that they do. They mix it up quite a bit. I think he does a great job protecting the ball and not making mistakes."

On David Gordon’s status:

"He will be healthy enough to be a factor. As a freshman, he has to learn how to practice and fight through pain. He has to learn the difference between pain and injury. The Xs and the Os are part of it. He has improved tremendously. His technique is still coming along. David has some toughness about him that you wouldn’t assume he had. He’s a tough kid and he competes very well. I think he has done admirably for a true freshman out there at that position. That’s awfully hard in this conference."

On Wendel Davis:

"He’s awfully active. He’s been very productive. He’s learned how to practice hard."

On Jerell Norton:

"He’s practicing hard. He’s doing a nice job. He’s bringing a lot of energy. Anytime you have positive plays like he had, his confidence level is very high."
