FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — After signing four basketball players on Wednesday’s first day of the early signing period, head coach Nolan Richardson added a fifth on Thursday as Wenbos Mukubu joined the Razorback’ recruiting class.
Mukubu is a 6-5, 220-pound guard/forward from Miami, Fla. He averaged 22.8 points and 10.0 rebounds as a junior at Miami Beach High School. He played in only eight games due to an injury, but Richardson saw enough of him during the summer when he played on the Coast to Coast AAU team.
“He just blows my mind,” Richardson said. “He has exceptional athletic ability. He high jumps 7-2 and plans to high jump on the track team here. This is only his fourth year to play basketball, but we’re happy to get him. He’s a big guard, small forward type player and he’s the most athletic of the group we’ve signed.”
