FAYETTEVILLE — Michael Bernal hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift White to a 5-4 victory on Tuesday afternoon at Baum Stadium. Start times for the final three games of the series will be announced at a later date. With the game tied at four in the bottom of the 10th, White put together a game-winning rally to clinch the series. With one out, Joe Serrano singled through the left side of the infield and then stole second. Bernal then sent a 2-2 pitch into left-center field for a base hit, scoring Serrano from second with the game-winning run. Trey Killian earned the win in relief for White, striking out two in two scoreless innings. Chris Oliver took the loss for Red, allowing a run on two hits in one inning of work. The offenses for both teams got off to fast starts as each team plated three runs in the first. Red got its three runs on a two-run double from Wise and a RBI single from Brown. White’s three runs came on a two-RBI double from Fisher and a RBI groundout by Krisjon Wilkerson. White took its first lead of the game in the bottom of the fourth on a RBI single to left by Clark Eagan. Red answered back with a run in the top of the fifth on a RBI double by Andrew Benintendi, tying the game at four. The game would remain tied until White’s heroics in the bottom of the 10th.
