Women’s Cross Country Awarded for Academic Success

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas women’s cross country team was named one of the 2013 All-Academic Teams, as announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Honorees must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.25 or greater and must have finished as an All-American or among the 15 finishers in their regional meet. Four student-athletes were awarded with individual honors for their success in the classroom. Shannon Klenke boasts a 4.0 grade point average in international economics, finishing third at the 2013 NCAA South Central Region Championships. Diane Robison carries a 3.51 GPA while majoring in dietetics, finishing eighth overall at regionals. Grace Heymsfield was also honored by USTFCCCA with a 3.79 in dietetics, finishing ninth at the South Central Regionals. Following an 11th-place finish at regionals, Paige Johnston was honored for her 3.93 GPA in social work.
