Women's @RazorbackTF Earns USTFCCCA Cross Country Academic Honors

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas women’s cross country team was named one of the 2015 All-Academic Teams, as announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday (Feb. 11) afternoon.

The Southeastern Conference and the Big Ten Conference led the way with 14 women’s teams earning All-Academic Team honors. Arkansas has a cumulative team GPA of 3.57.

Individually, five Razorbacks earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. Honorees must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.25 or greater and must have finished as an All-American at the national meet or among the 25 finishers at their regional meet.

The SEC was tops among women’s conferences with 19 honorees, followed by both the Big Ten and the ACC with 17 each.

Samantha Mohler has a perfect 4.0 GPA in kinesiology and took 20th place at regionals. Shannon Klenke boasts a 3.97 grade point average in international economics and business, finishing 11th at the 2014 NCAA South Central Region Championships. Grace Heymsfield was also honored by USTFCCCA with a 3.83 GPA in dietetics, finishing fourth overall at the South Central Regionals

Jessica Kamilos, who took sixth place at regionals, was honored for her 3.73 GPA in kinesiology. Following a seventh place finish at regionals, Diane Robison was honored for her 3.56 GPA in dietetics.
