FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Fourth-year head coach head coach Colby Hale and the University of Arkansas women’s soccer team have released the schedule for the upcoming 2015 season.

The Razorbacks’ schedule features 10 home games at Razorback Field and nine opponents (one in exhibition action) that played in last year’s NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship.

The 2015 schedule will also feature 11 Southeastern Conference games, three games against teams that finished in the top 10 of the final RPI from last year, nine games against the top 50 and 15 games against the top 100.

“This is a schedule that checks off every box,” said head coach Colby Hale. “We have a team in place that is excited for the challenge. Concerning SOS and RPI it sets up well. This will certainly be one of the toughest schedules in the country. We get to play some teams we haven’t played before and it will prepare us well for the toughest conference in the country.”

Arkansas finished the 2014 season with a 9-7-6 mark, giving the program its first back-to-back winning season since the 2008, 2009 seasons. Coach Hale and his Razorbacks were also the No. 9 seed in the conference tournament and earned the program’s second consecutive bid to the NCAA Tournament (second in school history). After picking up a 3-2 overtime victory at Oklahoma in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, the Razorbacks fell at No. 3 Stanford, 1-0, in the Round of 32 to end the season.

Arkansas begins its 2015 campaign with a pair of road exhibition matches against Oral Roberts (Aug. 13) and SEC foe Missouri (August 15)

The regular season begins the following weekend at Razorback Field when the Razorbacks host Stephen F. Austin (Aug. 21) and TCU (Aug. 23).

The Razorbacks will then head north to face Yale and Penn State, who went 20-4-0 overall and advanced to the Elite 8 in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, on August 28 and 30, respectively.

The non-conference slate will also include games at Rice (Sept. 6) and against UMKC (Sept. 13) and Kansas (Sept. 17).

During the conference portion of the 2015 schedule, Arkansas will face five league opponents who also saw postseason action in 2014, which includes matches against Georgia (Sept. 25), Kentucky (Sept. 27), South Carolina (Oct. 2), 2014 NCAA College Cup participant Texas A&M (Oct. 23) and Florida (Oct. 25).

The remainder of the Razorbacks’ conference slate includes a road game at Vanderbilt (Oct. 11) and home matches against Tennessee (Sept. 11), Mississippi State (Sept. 20), Ole Miss (Oct. 9), LSU (Oct. 15) and Alabama (Oct. 29).

The 2015 SEC Tournament will once again be held in Orange Beach, Ala., where the Razorbacks fell to Georgia (T, 0-0 in double OT; lost 4-3 in PKs) in a hard-fought first round matchup last season. The tournament kicks off with first round action on Nov. 2 and the championship match will be held on Nov. 8.

The field of 64 teams for the 2015 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament will be announced on Monday, Nov. 9 before the opening weekend of matches for the NCAA Tournament Nov. 13, 14 and 15.
